Don Erickson

Don was an apprentice of Wright's from 1948 to 1951, and he had actually once dreamed of being a concert pianist. Time spent with Wright had changed his mind, and lucky for us it did.

Don Erickson

Erickson apprenticed with Wright for three years after attending University of Illinois at Navy Pier.  His buildings clearly show Wright's influence with a modern flair.  He might probably be best-known for his design of Indian Lakes Resort which, unlike other hotels, has hexagons as a base shape and a vast, airy atrium lobby.
