Tirranna (1955)

tirranna

Tirranna was built in 1955 for John and Joyce Rayward, and is located in New Canaan, Connecticut. The house is named after an Aboriginal word that means “running waters,” and is situated on a 14-acre property that includes a waterfall and many other water features. Tirranna is a Usonian-style home with a distinctive horseshoe-shaped design. The house is made of concrete block, glass, and wood, and features a large living room with a fireplace, a dining room, and a kitchen. The master bedroom is located on the second floor, and has its own private balcony with views of the waterfall.
