There are 13 Frank Lloyd Wright homes in Minnesota. One of those is the design built for S.P. “Pearl” Elam. Mr. Elam operated a jewelry store from 1933 to 1974 and lived in the home until 1959.

The Elam House is located on a piece of property that – like many of Wright’s designs – was never seen by Wright. One of the largest Usonians, the home was completed in 1951 and consists of five bedrooms and six bathrooms (although the home was supposedly designed with eight bedrooms).

There are three floor-to-ceiling fireplaces, over 100 windows, incredible stonework, and an 820 square-foot Guest House suite where you can book a reservation to stay! Note that guests are “provided with a one-hour, exclusive tour of the main part of the house.”
